After lunch you travel to the Australian National Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour. A permanent display area here was a gift from the United States Government to Australia at the time of our Bicentennial in 1988. Darling Harbour was a derelict wharf area which was subject to major redevelopment in the 1980's to become a very appealing shopping and entertainment precinct which is popular with visitors and locals alike. After your inspection of the Museum you may explore other parts of the Darling Harbour area, including a circuit on the Monorail.
