We drive east from the city to Rose Bay, detouring for a quick look at the exclusive shopping enclave of Double Bay. Meeting our naturalist guide, we head off on a scenic harbourfront bushwalk within Sydney Harbour National Park. Our walk concludes at Nielsen Park where we have morning tea, prior to inspecting historic Vaucluse House a short distance away.

Not far from Vaucluse House is Watsons Bay, known for its Hotel, Doyles seafood restaurant, and its fishing village atmosphere. We enjoy a picnic style lunch in the park (wet weather venue is the Watsons Bay Hotel). After lunch we walk from Camp Cove Beach to the tip of South Head for spectacular views. We return to the city via Gap Park (photo stop), Woollahra and Paddington.
